Going through the spark troubleshooting on Clark's Garage and am trying to test the coil.
I have a spark testor. I have the spark testor inserted into the coil wire at the rotor cap end and a lead going from the testor to the negative terminal. I disconnected the green wire from the coil and attached a lead on the terminal. Touching the other end of this lead to the battery, I get lots of spark at the battery, but none on the spark testor. Any advice on what I am doing wrong? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Which side of the battery are you touching?
Just so you know...coils are almost never the problem.
