I did it!! Pick it up Tuesday evening! Pics

I was litterly walking out the door to go purchase an 85 Saab 900 Turbo convertable when he emailed me and agreed to my price.

1986 with timing belt and water pump was replaced 6k ago. The exterior I would classify as in good shape rating on 7/10 there is some lower front end damage and rust spot on the drivers side rocker. As far as the interior it is near mint with a 9/10 although it does have the dash cracks. All switches work exept the sunroof.

Someone talk me out of trading those wheels for something else..

Congrats! Nice car. I'd go with design 90's but that's just my preference.
what's up with the strut tower bushings or is my mind just playing tricks on me?

Great looking car. Keep the wheels as they are or trade for mine. My Fuch wheels need repainting now. LOL Just pulling your chain. I'm happy for you.

Cheers,

Matt, I agree with the above post about the "Muscle Car Look" If you decide to get rid of them I have a set of 15" Phone dialers I'll swap with you. I'm in dallas and it would be a nice drive in the P-car to meet with you.....Jerry

He was asking $2900. I offered $2500 and he accepted. Runs great, shifts great, cold a/c, no leaks, all maint done. And he'll meet me 1/2 way. i couldnt resist. I spent over $325 in the past 2 weeks driving all over the region looking at crap bmw's and SAAB cars. all were nightmares. I think i got lucky on this one.

Nice one. That's my favorite interior color combo. I like the Fuchs the way they are, too.

Hi, congrats and would leave the fuchs the way they are. I am sure some money was spent for that polished look.

Nice car. Love the Fuchs, but they do look a little Crager-ish. Looks like 7's and 8's? Just my opinion, but I'd partially paint them. Something like this...

If they are real Fuchs and not replicas, I have a set of factory 18" twists I be willing to work out a trade on.

Thanks Todd. I'll keep that in mind. I think out of respect to the guy who put alot of time into restoring this car, im going to leave it the way it is for now.
When the time comes, this will be the 1st place i'll post.

Don't trade out the fuchs!!! They are simply THE best wheel for the 944 and the most desirable. The 15s are also the lightest wheels porsche ever made. I do agree on the paint though, either just around the petals all the whole center will really set that car off looks-wise.

Nice catch!

Nah the all-chrome look is great, leave it that way! What would really set off the look of the car is lowering it down on those wheels, instead of doing the same typical black around the petals or all black like EVERYBODY ELSE with fuchs...! Hell, just to stand out a bit, I painted my fuchs black in the center... but with a GOLD lip! Hell yeah.

Congrats on the purchase!!
