This is the lever we are replacing the stock one with, it is aluminum with adj. shift throw. Tools need are a Flat head Screw driver, 4mm Allen wrench & 13mm socket.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1248141331.jpg
4th, Use the 13mm socket to remove the 2 bolds holding the shifter in place.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1248141483.jpg
This is what it looks like out.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1248141630.jpg
5th, Push the base up the shift lever to pop the Plastic cup holding the base of the lever, now the lever will pop right out.

6th Pop the new lever in the cup just as you removed the old one. Bolt the base back in..http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1248141854.jpg

7th Reconnect the shift to the new pin, replace the C clip.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1248142057.jpg
This is what it should look like.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1248142184.jpg
8th Replace the rubber boot, add the shift knob of your choice and you are done..http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1248142325.jpg
Notice the end of the shift pin, that is the wear that causes sticky shifting.

Hey the new Shifter look cool, and it is adjustable as well.
May I ask where did you get the shifter from.
I want to replace mine, so I can use an after market shifter knob(Momo)

Lindsey Racing make a short shift lever in the same style

Very nice write up. Where did you purchase your new shifter lever at?

I have seen them on EBay.

Maybe we can get Pelican to stock them? I use this method of rebuild:
