Wheels for 924 4-bolts

Hi, we wish to update the wheels on my son's 1984 924 (4-bolt suspension). If possible to 15 og 16" to get low-profile high-performance tires...

Does anybody have any recommendations? We were thinking of maybe OZ or BBS?
Many thanks for your help! Tire redcommendations would be appreaciated too...

The wheels we have now are standard 6x14 and Telephone-dials in the same dia.
The tires is 185/70-14.

The wheel shown is NOT a phone dial. I'm not sure what it is called, but it is an "early" 924 wheel. The late ones (80+) are not phone dial either, but they are much nicer looking than the early ones (in my opinion). Plus - they are 15x6, and use a lower height-to-width ratio (profile) tire, but I don't remember the exact size.

And here's another FYI: ford used same pattern 4-lug on 80's mustangs, and other models as well, but I'm not sure if offset is the same. The 88 t-bird turbocoupe I used to have was this pattern, and if I recall correctly, the wheels were very similar to the late 924 wheels.

Edit: I just realized your son's car is an 84, and that would make it a late one. Maybe the 15" wheels that my 80 had were an option - or else a PO put early style wheels on your son's car.

Those are the original wheels that came with the car. The phone-dials are of course 6x15... My mistake, but the tires on both sets are 185, but 185/70 on the 14" and 185/65 on the 15 for the Phone-dials.

Then we have a set of 15" rims... And can go maybe for 195/60-15 or 205/55-15. that will be much better than 185/70! As the gearing is very "long" a slightly smaller tyre will be ok.
