Idle Falls/Low Voltage - Help!

I noticed today after coming home that the idle will fall drastically, near stall, then jump up again. The battery currently reads 12V on the dash and after a multimeter test, it reads the same when its off and when running.

I suspect that the battery is not charging at all and then car is simply running directly of the battery.

Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions, concerns would be very appreciated

I'd remove the alternator and take it to an auto parts store that tests them for free. If it tests bad, it's likely just the internal regulator that is bad. It's the white plastic piece that attaches to the back of the alt with two screws. Find the Bosch part number on the regulator and search for that number on ebay. You can probably find a new one for less than $20. Or a local starter/alternator shop may have one in stock.

I had mine do that it had an open wire to the d+. I ran a light bulb to the coil and the d+. then the alternator started charging.
