Project 944 is alive!

Well the '83 944 I picked up a few weeks ago is running! It probably hadn't started in over a year, so it felt good to bring the old girl back to life. Changed out the speed and reference sensors, and set the gap by feel just to see if she would run. Turned it over a few times and she coughed to life! Stalled out a few times (I suspect bad gas ) but after holding the throttle for a while to get her warmed up she fell into a nice steady idle at just over 900 rpms. Warmed her up and the fan kicked on as it should and took the temp right back down. Next task is to go through and replace all the fluids and pop in a new clutch master and slave. It will be good to get her back on the road again!

Oh yes, belts are also on the agenda. No need to go through all that work to get her running only to have it bend/break some valves.
