Searching for noises brought this up?
What cap am I missing off this, underneath the center of my car my car? I doubt this is supposed to be not covered, I couldn't tell you how long I have been driving without it? and should I worry about it? I just changed my oil last week and never noticed it.

Is that the clutch inspection hole next to the starter? Hard to tell from the pic.
If so, I've never seen one with a cap - although I'm sure they must have had them originally.

I thought they were covered to prevent debris from getting in, I do have quite a bit of fluids coming out from there.

Of the four 944's me and my kid have owned, none of them were covered.
Fluids coming out? Oil? Rear main seal?

The rear main seal was done with the motor rebuild, my mistake its not a substantial amount but I do wake up and find about a quarter sized marking on my driveway on a routine basis. That seal was a common issue though, if that is from my clutch housing I don't like the fact that there is oil against my clutch.

No, not good that fluids are coming out of that inspection hole. If it was plugged, with the factory cap, you would be having some trouble with a slipping clutch by now.
Mike is correct, as I have never seen many of these plugged myself. And, I do agree that it may be a seal causing this. What type of fluid is leaking? Color? Texture? I believe 944online sells these and probably ***********, if not, try PartsHeaven. Good luck. Hope it isn't too bad of a problem, but it would make me wonder a little if my 944 was leaking from that inspection hole.

It is motor oil, so that would lead me to my rear seal, it was replaced when the motor was re built, but then the car sat for a year since the accident with the motor out, damn I might have hit a bit of dry rot. Another thing that leads me not to worry as much is I havent had leaking issues since I started using mobil 1 (turns to water easily) I am going to do another oil change soon with a different type of oil, if I still keep getting leaking issues I will have to replace the seal.

The engine sitting for a year shouldn't have damaged the seal.
In my cars, when the RMS was leaking, the trail of oil went down the back of the pan - not out the clutch inspection hole. I'm trying to think of what could be dripping on that, and I can't quite picture the layout above that. It seems like leaks from the OAS or maybe balance shaft cover, probably wouldn't drip down in there. It's not something coming in the timing mark inspection hole at the top? I s'pose that really isn't possible. When it comes down to it, I guess the RMS is really the only possibility. If it's oil, anyway... Does the car sit on a hill - back end lower than the front?

That's weird getting oil out of that hole. I guess if the oil was being forced out onto the flywheel and flung into the bellhousing, it might do that. BTW, a mobil1 quart oil cap fits in that hole pretty well.
