S2 makes whiney Noise after sitting overnight

My 90-944S2 cabrio with 133K miles makes a whiney noise when first set in motion after sitting overnight, sounds like an old truck's gear noise low pitch "zzzzZZZZZ" that goes higher as speed increases and it seems to be coming from near the gear shift area, when I depress the clutch it is quieter and seems related to speed, it does it for about the first 2 miles then is quiet from then on. It can be quiet all day. Let sit overnight and does it again in the morning.

Anyone have any idea what this is??

could be belts,
I had the belts changed, and untill the 1500mile retension it did the same thing

I would get yours belts tension checked

I'd second checking the belt rollers, as it sounds like you have one nearing seizing point. Do you know when they were last replaced?

power steering groan.
clean your reservoir or just replace it with a new one. it's cheap.
