Sometimes, if there's a little pressure on the wheel itself, it makes the key tough to turn.

Not sure if this was your situation, but if you turn the wheel a little to remove the tension, the key will often turn easily...

Yep, and the next time you muscle the key it will break off in the ignition. Get an extra one made while you can and some lock graphite to lube it up.

Cheers,
Larry

Yeah, I totally agree. I have another key, but i consider myself lucky that it didnt break. However, since then ive had no problems.

+1 on graphite lube, still need to do that..

Dave,
The reason I asked if you got the OEM key for your '88 was that I spent an hour trying to get my wheel locks off the car a couple weeks ago. I was rotating the tires on both cars. I made the mistake of switching the wheel locks/lugs between the "87 & '88. I was about to drill out the lock when I used the other key. Problem solved.

Did you get more than 1 key?

GL

Hooray.....

Just walked in to check my mail.

I did get it free about three moments ago.

A gentle wiggle and Free at last.

I needed to get the car inside to relly get to it.

Thanks john.....

Felt as good as a good drive from the tee at Desert Forest........
