That's a really nice looking example. Looks new. $12K is a really mellow price.

I would think that if he held out, with a car like that - if there are no hidden problems - he coulda got $20-25K. Might take a while. But if he'd held out, I bet he could have eventually found a buyer in that price range.

That rip in the seat and that radio antenna really hurt its value though... But it was definitely worth more than 12k...

16 bids; it's worth what it's worth - $12K. The market dictates what it's worth.

Nice car; I agree with porsche4life. Maybe worth more come spring. Isn't Holy Grail a little over the top?

Agree with you on that, plus the funny looking badge, don't know why somebody will do this to such a car but the price is rigth if it his a 40k car.I'll say somebody should go take a closer look .Not many decent examples left of those "Silver Rose".

Anybody stop to think the windshield could have been replaced with no antenna? Maybe the reason an antenna was put on the rear quarter.

Cheers,
Larry

Doesn't change the fct that there is now a hole in the rear quarter if an otherwise perfect car.

I think it was a fair price. Just to get it up to speed you are probably looking at the following to do list
Tires (Probably at least 8 years old) - $1000
Timing belt/water pump/front engine seals - $750
Fix quarter and put in proper windshield with antenna - $1000
Fix seat - $250
Fix oxidized wheels - $250
Unwind "interesting looking" alarm system and keep finger crossed the wiring harness isn't too jacked up.

That is what we can tell just from the pics - who knows what else needs attention - old water hoses/vaccum lines etc

silver rose

how much would a perfect condition one, say < 60k miles that needs nothing be worth?
Are these rising in market value and is their appreciation or depreciation curves any different from the non silver rose turbos or vs NA vs S2? How does stock vs aftermarket items affect this value? Took me forever to find mine, had been looking on ebay, guess they come up from time to time. These seem to be alot of car for the money, especially when you compare to the 911 models of same era, plus although a rare car, parts arent rare and relatively abundant

I'd guess more than 250 to fix that seat.... Considering that the fabric is NLA.

I'd say if you got 20 out of you'd be doing good.... I mean honestly the market is weak right now... Its a 20yr old car that is almost definitely going to need some work soon....
