canadian forum

I find the resources here at pelican to be awesome but meeting up and chatting with locals to be difficult. so i have created a Canadian forum for water cooled owners to meet up. here is the link for anyone that may be interested.

Tell you what not many water cool Porsche 924/S/944&968 on that RL Canadian Forum even though them guys hanging around there are very nice most of them owne 40k + machines witch is a little over my head. I pop over your site Chris tell me why you divide it Province by Province instead of just "East& West" (Ontario to NFL) (MANITOBA TO BC)

Rennlist is a great site but in my opinion if you don't pay to be a member your looked down at. As for traffic the site is less than a week old it will take some time i guess.
I separated all the forums by province for local chat and gatherings.
its hard to promote the site so it will probably take awhile for traffic to increase.
smokin 944 I am trying to get to the root of the problem i will email you with possible solutions.
cheers chris

I'm not here to debate if a forum is better then another but you saying that you are look down at if your not a paid member on RL is false ,even though Pelican is my birthplace as far as P cars forum is concern I'm also a RL member & got to see yet a none paid member not having is questions answer by the RL crowd. There is cost involve in operating such a large Forums & think that the fee ask is peanuts for all the infos you are getting .And as far as chatting with the locals on Pelican Never had any problems here neither, but I do understand what your trying to do & my hat to you for doing it

Neither am I. I think rennlist is a awesome resource and the fee is peanuts.I have seen a couple of members knock on non members and that might have been isolated occurrences.Perhaps i was too quick to pass judgment for that i apologize.
the long of the short is I am just trying to put a place together for all of us Canadians to have a good time and shoot the breeze.
cheers chris

Ya that was me Metal, I am not a Mod. Just a member trying to spread the word about it to any Canadian 944'ers I find. My apologies. I did title it "Invite", and I am not selling anything.

I had problems too, I did not realize I had to check my email for an activation code. The software did not state that.

I think its admirable,
to set up a web forum, but at the moment (personally) I am involved and vist (at last count) 12 sites (not to mention the adult ones AHEM cough cough)

There is at the moment just not enough traffic on the site.

RL Canada has more traffic and more in line with what I can deal with, PLUS I dont have to remember another username/password

I dont think anyones ever looked down there nose at me on any site, I'm not a paid up member on RL, I was annoyed as othere where that OFF TOPIC was taken off non-members, not that I find I'm missing anything.

As an ALL ROUND site with access to everything PP has the edge for me, an RL Canada comes a close second (only cos no OFF TOPIC forum on RL main).

Nice bunch of dudes on RL C

anyway my 2c's worth, when I immigrate to Canada it debabtable wether I'll bring my existing P car or buy another one, or go for non-p

gud lucks anyway
