Um... why are you selling the 924S?

Right now you'll (unfortuanately) get less money for your 924S than the equivalent 944.

Also, your 924S is rarer and faster than the 944 you are planning on buying.

According to Bruce Anderson's column in Excellence (February, 2001) a 1987 924S is worth:
$2921.00 for one in poor condition;
$3322.00 for one in good condition;
$4447.00 for one in excellent shape.

You give no indication of a clutch job: that's about a $1500 to $2000 repair bill. Anyone knowledgeable with these cars will point that out. What about timing belt, h2o pump, rollers...etc. Do you have maintenance records? Even if you're due for a timing belt change, if you have all/most of your maintenance records, that is definately a plus.

105k miles is a little on the high side for a 1987, but not too bad.

IMO, your radio will not add any real value to your car: after all, when I buy a car, I'm more interested in engnie/mechanics of the car rather than how loud I can listen to my music! (Advise: give more info on the car when you place an ad, rather than on the radio!)

Based on if your clutch has been done, you can probably get around $3000 for it, IMO.

The clutch is fine, but has it been replaced? If not, then you're due for a replacement soon. The rubber clutch hubs just don't stand the test of time.

Seriously, if it were a year from now, I'd consider your car: looking for a 924S/944 to turn into a track car... (Can I have your neighbor's C2 wheels with the deal?!? )

Good luck selling!

I wouldn't sell it. You will probably never be able to replace it for the same amount of money with something as quick, reliable, and fun.
