I am looking into buying an 85 944 and would like to have it thorougly checked out by a good mechanic before I make the purchase. This will be my first Porsche, and other then dealerships, I have no idea where to look for good and reliable 944 mechanics to help tell me if there is anything wrong with the car before I buy it. Please, give me addresses or phone numbers of good ones around here.

Call Bill Gwinn at Motorworks in Flatwoods, KY. He is a very experienced Techncian and knows all Porsches inside and out as well as BMW and other euro cars. He knows the things to look for and is reasonable in his prices.
He is an SCCA member and sponsor and a 944 owner enthusiast as well. In his spare time, he is a professional F1 GP racing photographer. If you follow racing in the moto rags you have probably seen some of his pics. Down side is his is two hours from Cincy. near Ashland |
