head light asssembly

Would the WHOLE headlight assembly fit into a 951 from a 944? I am confused because i am hearing both ways on this, so i'd really appriciate it if someone could clear this up for me. I am talking about the whole pop up light, cover, lens, everything.

To the best of my knowledge, it should.

I think not since the whole nose panel on a 951 is diffrent than the 944 NA series.

Is this related to the different shaped fenders on the 944?

The 944S2 and 951 have the same front end and fenders.

The 944 (mk1) has different shaped fenders, not sure about the 944S or 2.7

Currently looking out for an early 944, will keep the '84 3.2 carerra cab for sunnier days.

Are you talking about the light covers and plastic headlight surrounds? if you are NO they will not because the light covers are a little longer on the 951 and for example in Tweeks the NA headlamp door is 34.95 and the turbo ones are 179.95 and the headlamp surround for the NA is 37.95 and the turbo is 39.95.

NO

THey will not, the light covers on a 951 were made longer than the ones for a 944...

ok thanks. that mechanic obviously doesn't know what he is talking about....85944na dont worry the na is still here. I found a great deal on a 951 that had a little front end damage and i was going to buy it but could not sell my na in time and the guy sold the car to someone else. Great price but not the right time, that stinks, i'm alright though, mean i got the cash to finish the sound system and maybe get some wheels
