Where is brake bias valve located?

I have a 5/33 bias valve that I want to replace my stock 5/18 with. But I can't seem to find it. It doesn't seem to be located near the master cylinder. There are numerous lines (3 or 4) going into/coming out of each inner fender well, which I cannot see into. Does anyone know where the valve is located, and how to get at it to change it?

Many of our cars did not have a Bias Valve - so those are hard to find.

The one's that do have a Bias Valve it is mounted on the drivers side of the Master Cylinder in one of the two ports there, it is in the port closest to the front of the car - that line goes to the rear brakes.

If your 944 was not equipped with a Bias Valve you also need to replace the brake line tubing that comes out of the Bias Valve (88-89 Turbo S Bias Valve brake line tubing) as it is bent to accept the Bias Valve in that location. That Bias Valve line from out of the Bias Valve makes a 180 deg. bend, back towards the MC, then immediately bends 90 Deg. towards the firewall, it goes through the upper portion of FW, after penetrating the firewall upper it makes a 90 deg. bend to run across the upper portion of the FW, it then runs towards the passenger side of the car, runs under the plastic cover that is over the AC/Heater assembly - etc.

The difference in the two lines is the the Bias Valve line connects ~2" further away from the MC...Where the normal line is just a 90 deg. bend into the MC port direct.

Here is a pic of where the line you are referring to comes out. No bias valve. The car is an 89 turbo S. Are you suggesting that the car DOES NOT have the 5/18 bias valve installed? And to install the 5/33 that I have , I need a line from a non-turbo S car?

Dammit, the pics that I upload don't seem to make it into the posts. This is very frustrating. Lemme try from a different computer.

Cars with ABS have the brake limiting valve on the ABS pump, passenger side, behind the plastic wheel well cover.

I'm on a different computer now (my laptop). I'm going to try to upload the pic to see if it works:

It looked like it took, but I don't see it showing in the post in which I am now typing. If it doesn't show after I hit submit, my router must be blocking it.

Anyways, the bias valve is inside the right side fender then? I will be getting a new one on saturday in hershey, because mine current one is damaged. When I replace it, after the new one is painted, I will change the valve also. Obviously, the brakes will also need to be bled.

Does anyone know if the following router settings will block pics from being able to be uploaded?

Additional Filters
Filter Proxy
Filter Cookies
Filter Java Applets
Filter ActiveX

Are you trying to attach an image directly to your post? I don't think this board supports that. You need to get a Photobucket account (free, easy) and use [IMG] code to post pics.

Yes, I am, using the following method (file extension is .jpg):

Attach a Photo
You may attach a photo of nearly any size - we will resize it for you.
Click here to Upload a Photo... (Valid file extensions: .gif .jpg)

It used to work, and I can see where others use it successfully. So I can't see how the board doesn't support it. I don't know how to write .IMG code, so a photobucket account is out of the question.

The picture up loader does work - have used it many times - maybe your photos are not .JPG (???) or maybe they are to large of a file size - resize or crop and see if that works...mine would never upload when to big...

Just trying to be helpful - don't know every thing about it though.

With Photobucket you don't have to know how to write the code photobucket does it for you. Nothing on your router will block you from being able to upload, unless you have poor bandwidth in which case your uploads would time out... easiest way is to sign up for photobucket, upload your pics there then copy and paste the code from under the pic.

Like I said, there was a time when it DID work. The last pic I tried to upload was 2560 x 1920 pixels, 625KB in size, and definitely a JPG. My upload speed is 447Kb/s. Just for the hell of it, I will un-check those 2 filter options on my router that are checked and reboot it to see if it makes a difference or not.

Doesn't look like it worked. What about these other settings?:

Firewall Protection SPI Firewall
Enable Disable

Additional Filters Filter Proxy
Filter Cookies
Filter Java Applets
Filter ActiveX

Block WAN Requests Block Anonymous WAN Requests (ping)
Filter Multicast
Filter WAN NAT Redirection
Filter IDENT (Port 113)
