Slipping Clutch?
Here's a bit of a strange one.
When I bought my 944 Turbo about a year and a half ago, it would cruise at 80mph @ 3000 rpms in 5th gear. Recently though, at 3000 rpms in 5th gear, it only cruises at 70/72 or thersabouts. Throughout the other gears speed/rpm is dead on. Any ideas about what might be causing this? As for the clutch itself, it is a replacement clutch (930 plate and friction disk), with about 60,000 miles on it. Thanks Tim

Doesn't sound like a clutch problem.
Any other symptoms? With the information you have given, it could range from faulty speedometer, and beyond. AFJuvat |
