Carpet heel pad replacement

My heel pad (the pad your right foot rests on while driving) has a hole worn in right where my heel sit. In fact, it is worn right through the carpet and padding to the floor pan. The rest of the carpeting is in great condition, so I started to look into replacing just the pad, but I haven't been able to find one or an example of someone else trying this.

I will probably just get some mats to cover it, but I also thought of buying some plastic mats from the local auto store, removing my worn pad, then cutting and fitting a section from the new pad to fit.

Has anyone done this? Can you buy just the pad?

^^You can make your own foot rest like I did out of an alluminum plate & paint it the colour you want or buy one there not that expensive. "just a suggestion"

I don't think that is where he was talking about. Is that where your heel sits?

I think he means near the gas pedal.

I would take the carpet out and take it to an upholstery shop. It could probably be done pretty easily but it would need to be sewn to the carpet with a heavy-duty sewing machine.

Matthewb____ my mistake I got confuse here I know what you are talking about now he will have to strip the carpet out to fix that, quiet a job.

NOooooo those are old pedals been in there for at least 8 years ,change the color when I sold the car last summer.

I guess I will just get aluminum pedals and forget the heel pad!
