location of the under dash ground points
 

Can someone point me to where the ground points are within the interior (under the dash). Or... where is a good place to add an additional ground?

Having some issues that point to the ground not being good.

The big, multi junction, hard to find, hard to clean, is under the dash above the fuse/relay board.

When you are on your back looking up, check the wires connecting the fuses for burn marks, brittle sheathing or loose wires.

A small gound is behind the glove box for the AC components.

Begin by cleaning the bell housing negative cable ground. Put a piece of tape over the TDC hole to avoid dropping the bolt in the clutch.

it's still my power windows. new relay, new switches, when you work the switches the relay buzzes.

if I add a jumper from the window motor to the chassis the relay buzzes. if I remove the switch and jumper power and ground to the window switch plug, the windows work just fine.

Ground or something else?

I believe you answered your own question. When you jumped the switch out of the equation and the window worked. Either carefully take the switch apart and clean with contact cleaner or buy a NEW switch.

this is true whether I use the new switches I just bought, or the ones I cleaned up that were originally on the car. I thought new switches was the answer... but it's not.

in thinking about this... the only difference is ground... I am using a ground I establish when I jumper them... therefore I believe that it's the ground that's the problem... but then... what do I know?

Relay buzz is caused by bad ground or power, check connections for each. Likely the ground is shorting out
