Rear Koni Adjustment? HELP
I have a set of new Koni 8040 1035Sport and want to install them on my 85.5 na 944 this weekend.
I removed the white clip and then the rubber stop in the upper housing and pushed down all the way (I weight 200lb's) and it does not feel like any thing is engaging? I have made several turns and it does not hit a "stop" one way or the other? I would like to set it at about 3-4 of a 1-5 setting just my idea of where it should be (if there is a 1-5 setting) but some thing in that ball park any hep would be great I want to drive it Sun. and Mon. and will have to wait until next weekend if I don't get to it this weekend. thanks James |

Sounds like the procedure you are doing is correct. They are a ***** to compress - have you tried both shocks or just the one. You should be able to feel something, but it's not much. The shock will turn several times before it hits the stop and when on full setting, they will stay compressed (you may even think that something is wrong cause they won't budge, but the weight of the car will move them).

I just did this, it is a major PITA (at 230#). Just lean on them as hard as possible and walk circles around them til you feel the click.
