Shift boot popping out
 

every time I hit 2nd, 4th, and reverse my shift boot pops out and I have to press the top back into the console, the leather is very tight when in any gear but these gears pop it out.
any solutions? I was looking at a Momo Red Combat Evo shift knob and matching Momo black leather boot.

Sounds like the boot may be the wrong one

If you mean the shift boot "plate" it wraps around and is pressed into the center console---which is kept in place by a few plastic tabs underneath----

The plate is NLA so either a used plate or just carefully drill a couple of tiny holes near/around the edge (where the console is) and screw in a decorative cabinate screw or use a Porsche dash screw and cap from a donor car.

Should be fine with the Momo setup.
