944 Accessories
Hi Guys,
I've just bought a 1989 944 Turbo and I was wondering what accessories were available for that model. I've picked up a sunroof bag and Koni shock adjuster tool and was wondering if there is anything else I should be looking at. I'll post pics once she is cleaned up..... ![]() ![]() ![]() New to this Forum... I also have a 1984 911 Carrera, but hoping to spend some time here too. Cheers, Geoff.

Many strange thoughts have passed my mind
![]() You picked up the Koni shock tool so lets start there. You will need some type of cam belt adjusting tool if you plan to DIY. You will need a few other tools as well like the FW lock and the OPRV alignment tool. Arnnworx is a place to start. Home Click on the hard to see "projects" in the top right corner.. GL & welcome to the forum John

John,
Thanks for the info, much appreciated. I was also interested in what type of Accessories were sold with the car when it was new, or what I should have with the car now. Cheers, Geoff.

Welcome to the water cool world Geoff, good place to be, lot of helpful peoples here has you will find out.If you are set on originality your car will have come with a tool kit + tow hook for the S2 -951 & a air compressor. What you should invest in if you haven't got it yet is a CV joint bolt removal tool-8mm, 12 points socket driver ,3/8" drive & a spare DME relay -spare fuses-assorted bulbes, spare rotor & cap are also nice to have around. When changing the sparks plugs be careful since the are deeply recess in the head (removal is done with a long extension & the proper size socket -when reinstalling use a small rubber hose at the end of the spark plug to start treading them in -don't over torque personnaly I use vaseline on the treads work nice till now & make removal easier next time. All rubber & vinyl parts on your car should be clean & treated with quality vinyl rubber cleaner /conditioner.The rear hatch also need maintenance once in a while, make sure the pins are adjust properly the latch grease so the holes that the pins set in.As a matter of fact all hinges & latchs should be grease a couple time a year.If at one time or the other you have to redo your CV joint I sugest you think seriously about ordering the bolts & locks kit from (IDIOLA ) there the best.Since I use lot of pics to explain thing LOL don't be scare here are a series of them, have fun wrenching your new toy.

Ski rack, stainless door sills, a big 'ol bolt in cell phone, Ray-Bans and a Members Only jacket should have you covered. Extra credit for the front bra that has "turbo" embossed in it.

I was just lucky I guess ,everything =tool kit=compressor & tow hook was in the car when I bougth it ,couldn't find the tow hook at first but after a little digging found it in the spare area in a small bag.None of those was ever use but has you can see in the pic the operating instruction compressor stiker is starting to peal off will take care of that soon. Also if you notice in the pic my wheel wrench was carry over from my 944 ,I love that thing had it for years & will never get separated from it

Man! Both of my 44's had phones but all I got was the stupid wiring and brain boxes! If I still had my phone heads like that I'd probably put one back in ![]()

My fully documented 944S came with an unused plastic sheet and gloves in the spare tire so you wouldn't get muddy when you installed the spare! I wish I'd held on to that!
