engine vibrating
i changed water pump, oil cooler seals on 1983 944. runs great, but engine in now vibrating. could it be balance shafts not set currect. idles fine. thanks steve

If it did not vibrate prior to changing the WP you may have the lower balance shaft pully upside down.
Here is a picture and notice the dark spots on the top of the BB shafts--these are the "shaft Key slots" and they have to be in positions shown. Notice the "U" & "O" on the pullys. ![]() GL John

Yep, U for unter (lower) and O for ober (upper). Remember, a U-boat was under the water.
