i found this product called meguiar's scratch x. it does what it says... remove the scratches..... found it at a cragan auto store... i just did my 22 year old volvo , didn't use even a 1/4 tube.. you can't rub to hard and create more scratches with this stuff. the tube cost me $9.00 . i got me a showroom mirror finish and a sore elbow for about $3.00. i susgest you rewax you car afterward because this stuff takes it down to the raw paint.

Where did you find this stuff? I Have a Florida 944 that is suffering from sunburn and this might help.

Fantastic
Sounds great Ill have to try it.
Check out Mothers Clay bar (to clean Paint) and RainX (its like wax for the windsheild). These are two of the best products I have ever used.

There is a company "Red Hill Abrasives" that carries a number of these types of projects. I have used them with fantastic results...a repaint that I took down with 8 micron paper (wet sanded) then polished out and could reverse read a newspaper from the reflection.
They carry a extensive line of abrasive and polishing products and have an on-line site. No, I have no financial interest in Red Hill, just a long-time very satisfied customer. Cheers!! Bob S.
