Frozen doors & actuators - Is there a way to make the seal less permeable?

Yesterday was the first day my car has seen snow. The ice rain resulted in keeping my third party actuators from opening my doors. I could hear the actuators working, but the door lock knobs were not going up and down. I crawled through the hatch and was able to open the doors from inside. The doors and locks worked fine after the car was started and warmed up. This morning, however, they were frozen again.

The reputable shop that installed the actuators claims that water likely got into the door and caused the actuators to skip off their linkage. Does this sound right? If so, how can I make the seals less permeable or do they need to be replaced in their entirety? Thanks -

Jeremy

Check your Weatherstripping/Squeegies around the glass - particularly the Squeegies - As the car gets older, the inner door panel tends to warp - causing the glass to pull away from the seals - -and letting lots of water in. One quick test - If you open the car in the rain, and water pours out of the door...

You can fix it by removing your door panel, then gently bending the brackets the panel hangs on towards the wundow.

Ok, I guess you guys dont ever drive these things in the cold. Here in Ga we get plenly of cold but never any salt onm the roads so I always drive the pcars all year. I think THEY ALL DO THIS. For whatever reason the metal in the lock cylinder contracts quite a bit when it gets cold around 30f or under. My old targa did this and both my 928 and 944 do the same if left outside. Well at least I could crawl in the hatchback with the 928 and 44.

Whats the fix? Simple, a glass full of hot water. I by habbit nuke a cup of water in the morning. Just pour it over the lock area and thats it. Just pop in the key and unlock.
