Help with Part Number

When I was putting in my new master cylinder I noticed the plastic port the vacuum line plugs into just inboard of the master cylinder/booster was broken off at the base. If you look at the 1982-1985 944 PET fiche, illustration 813-15 (page 226 of the .pdf) the piece I am looking for is at the bottom right corner of the drawing, just to the right of the #15 label. Not the vacuum hose and connecter, but the port that plugs into. I am at work so I don't have any pics.

I can't find the drawing that part belongs to. My question is A) does anyone know the P/N and B) how critical is that piece?

The part number (15) from the pdf is check valve 477 611 933 A. 14 is the rubber seal 911 355 921 00.
Hope that helps.
I broke mine and had to replace it. I can't tell you how critical.

Not part 15 if I am looking at the drawing correctly. Follow that vacuum line, it goes into a valve then has the hook/L connector on the opposite end of the valve. The part next to the brake booster that connector goes onto. It is part of the structure that is half drawn and not labeled in the picture, far bottom right corner.

Or maybe the drawing is just unclear and is showing the same thing 3 times.

You're looking at the BODY section of the PET. Try 604-00.

That's it, 477 611 933 A. I thought you were referring to #15 in the drawing I referenced, didn't compare P/N's. I was up all night packing and working in the garage, somehow I remembered it being next to the booster but it is ON the booster. I flipped through every page of the fiche at work because I am getting ready to transfer so I surf a lot of internet these days.

$17 on Pelican I can live with that. If I am not more careful Wayne is going to dethrone the motorcycle shop and the convenience store as #1 use of my funds.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is here? Pelican has 2 different parts with the same P/N. Does this mean if I have option code M573 go with the first one? I read through all the extra info and its not clear. Could be the aformentioned lack of sleep again though. At least I cut out early and can go look at the car now.

I'm guessing the "M573" part on the early cars was superceded (but WTF that check valve has to do with A/C is anyone's guess!).
