Is it possible to replace a 968 airbag wheel with a boxster or newer 911 wheel and keep your airbag fuctional?

Unless I am mistaken, the 944/968 series used a 24mm nut and the 911 series uses a 27mm nut. Beyond that, you would have to compare the wiring between the wheels and see of they are the same. Unless you are talking about a 911 wheel from the same era (1992 - 1995) chances are, they wiring is different as well.

The size/dimensions of the airbag when deployed should also be considered. Each airbag is designed specifically for that car...

If you're going to change out an airbag wheel...I would either change it out with an airbag wheel from the same car, or a non-airbag wheel.
