How to replace odemeter gears????
were are they located how long to replace how do you replace them and wear do you get the gear.
|
luckily you have a later dash.
There is a good write up on clarks-garage Clark's Garage Home Page just go to the "Garage shop manual" then to "odometer repair" Jackson |
Also, for a good, detailed right up, with pictures, check out Rennbay.com. They have a tutorial on odometer gear changes. Their write up is on a 928, but once you get the gauge cluster out, everything is the same. I did this last month, and the whole process only took about an hour.

For pictures check this thread from last year:
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-924-944-968-technical-forum/513424-dismantling-gauge-cluster.html There is also another link at the end of that thread to more information on this site regarding odo/speedo gears. Searching odometer gears here will also find you many other threads w/o pics if you don't find what you need in the above threads. |
