setting the idle

I have an 85.5 na and took the "yellow cap" next to the throttle cam off and there is a raided pin over a 6 sided bolt, I can not get a socket to fit so I used my needle nose and turned this nut, did nothing to the idle. am I in the right place?
thankshttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1287008348.jpg

Yes, that is where you adjust the idle. But there are a few steps you need to do before you can properly reset the idle.

Located in the engine compartment in front of the fuse box, there is a black flat covered "plug", you need to jumper the plug to put the idle stabilizer in the center position. Then you set the idle and remove the jumper.

Instructions for properly setting the idle can be found here (same instructions apply to the NA cars):
