What a difference
Just had my 1,500 mile timing and balance belt check along with a Brad Penn 20W50 and a Mahle OC142 filter oil change. It had a Purolator and castrol GTX when I bought it.
Maybe its me, but I hear a much quiter 3.0 liter right now......(no longer hear those valves).....what a great car to drive. I am hooked. 46,000 miles.... |

Was any kind of engine flush or additive used?
I guess the belts are new and sounds like you're happy with your mechanic...who did the work?

isnt this oil a concern:
Please Note: Penn Grade 1 High Performance Oils contain high zinc and phosphorous additive concentrations which can be detrimental to cars and trucks with catalytic converters. For our Brad Penn Synthetic Blend and Premium Passenger Car Motor oils more suitable for use in vehicles with catalytic converters, please click here. Always consult your owner's manual for proper oil selection. |

yeah, it's a concern if you have a cat.
I love BP 20W-50 in my car...and I have no cat.

Not sure which Penn he used....looks green on the dipstick though. Very reputable shop, and he had many Porsches in there from old to new.
