MSD 6 Controller, 9810 Tach adapter and Diode
 
Did my MSD 6BTM ignition Controller upgrade last weekend and it worked great on the first attempt. Wired in the 9810 Tach adapter and included the rectifier diode as recommended and mounted it all on a custom fabricated aluminum mount. The car fired up on the first key crank, runs smother and Tachometer works fine. This is the setup needed for uninterupted performance with the MSD 6XXX units. Getting ready for boost next year with the BTM unit.

Just wanted to share the news...

MSD units are Multiple Spark Discharge units. They are high-output CDI ignition systems. 1-3000 RPMS they deliver 4 sparks per ignition per cylinder, then 3001-???? they deliver a longer, stronger burst of energy. Best to use with a recommended high-output coil. It provides for a more complete burn.

These types of systems work great with aftermarket chips that run richer, MAF conversions and of course: turbo cars.

Highly recommend this upgrade for Forced induction Vehicles and conversions.
The BTM manually retard boost with up to +15 more Degrees. More Torque in low to mids and smother Engine Idle.
More Air + more Fuel + More Spark Energy = More Efficiency/Safety & Power Capability
