I'm almost there with my reconnections, but still having some issues with a rear (heater-valve?) vacuum tube for which I cannot find a home.

But I'll come right out and say this...that for me, none of the diagrams are useful, because as schematics, they really do not accurately represent relative positions of anything to anything else.

What we need here are some good old (old-school?) exploded diagrams, showing where all of this stuff actually goes in terms of location and orientation in the engine compartment.

Anybody know of any good old exploded diagrams kicking around for this?

OK-944

Maybe if you updated your signature line with your 85.5 944 NA someone could help.

Just wondering if those pics could help you out.(it's an 83 but some of those vacum lines (heater-valve should be running in the same location on your 85.5

Good start, and I have been down this road already. Thanks for the photos. If I was stateside I would have been part of a good Porsche club, but being overseas makes it a challenge. Just getting in there and pulling some things out of the way...
