Rebuild LCD clock

I would like to do this. I saw on rennlist that someone was selling a kit. Did anyone on here rebuild their clock. Could you tell me how hard it was to complete.

I'd be interested in that myself - the backlight on the one in my 951 is toast.

There is a fellow on eBay and on Rennlist that sells a new rebuild kit that includes a new screen. The kit comes with instructions that make it fairly easy to rebuild the clock, as long as it's only the screen - 99% of the time it is the screen that's the problem. With the kit one can also order different colored lights to install - I put a blue light in mine, looks purdy.

My only problem with the procedure was that I forgot the reflecting paper so the light didn't show correctly, and had to go back in to install the paper, and re-assemble. My rebuilt clock has been working perfectly for close to a year now.

Does anyone know how to hook up the clock to try and test it?

Using a 9 Volt Battery put jumper on - Negative of battery and to lower right PEG of clock connection, then put another Jumper on battery + Positive and then connect jumper to Lower left PEG of the clock connection, this will make the clock work...Then another jumper on the + Positive battery and going to the Upper Right PEG of the clock connection - this is for the light. So now there are three jumpers on both the clock and the battery - clock working and light on.
