cv joint, part interchange

Hi everyone, I've been hearing clicking coming from the rear drivers side of the car. I removed the cv joint and found the splined hub is damaged. I have a set of 85.5 cv's and wonder if I can (or should) just change the hub, or the whole unit, and then swap sides? thanks

oops, its an 86 944 turbo. I looked at the 85.5 hub and it's not much better, considering the hp I'm putting down and the track time I decided to buy new joints. By the way PP had the best price, hope they are working tom.
