Engine removal
Can I remove my 944S engine with out pulling the dme harness thru the fire wall? I see I can disconnect the connections in the back area of the block when I am lowering the engine. There is the idle stabilizer valve connection under the intake that might pose a problem.

so just disconnect all the connections on engine side of the harness. not that many. two for raidator and ect sender, two for oil pressure, 1 for tps, 1 for afm...think there's another two for emissions stuff, speed/ref sensors....i think that's about it. might be another couple that i missed

It's much easier to just pull the harness.

If you don't want to remove the intake and possibly the timing belt cover to get to all the cables and cable ties you should pull the harness. I left it in the car, but in hindsight it would have been easier to pull it.
