924 Ignition issue... Thoughts?

I need a second opinion. I have a 78' 924 that has been parked for the winter. I just drove it home a few days ago and now the car won't start/ stay running.

I am thinking it may be the ignition switch behind the key tumbler. When I turn the key to the run position, only my stereo comes on. I believe it should turn all of the gauges on as well. When I turn the key to start the car, it will turn over and start, but as soon as I release the key it dies.

Also is this switch easy to replace?

Is this a reasonable explanation to my problem? Please give me your thoughts and opinions!

Switch is dirt cheap and easy to swap. Your diagnosis sounds correct.

How the heck do I get the switch out of the dash? I can't see what is holding it in
