968 Clubsport seats
Hi
Does anyone know the part number for the OEM 968 Clubsport fixed back bucket seats? I've checked the PET and I can seem to find it among all the the seat options. The ones I'm after are the ones that had the body coloured painted backs on them (yellow, blue, white, black) Or alternatively does anyone know the make and model of them because Porsche may have simply subcontracted to one of the seat manufacturers like Momo, Corbeau, etc...? Pic below.... ![]() |

They are similar to a Recaro Pole Position or SPG models. SPG will have the ribbing just not the same ribbing on the back.

They don't look that special... Why not get some Corbeau, Sparco, or Momo and paint them to color....

All older Porsche sport seats with the fixed backs are contracted to Recaro.

the reclining ones that came in the 968 are all recaro too
the club sport seats are pretty light, and the body color rear is a pretty cool feature seats like that can get to be a real pain though in a street car, so be sure you sit in one for a while before you dump that cash i ended up with recaro sportlines in my blue 968 - i got the wrap of a better seat, but still retained the reclining, and gained inflatable lumbar and adjustable thigh support - i just added seat heaters |

Yup, they are Recaros. A friend has them and they're pretty comfy. Not sure about long journeys though but really they're no different from Sparcos etc
Race seat is a race seat in a road car.

I had some seat time in a CS in the UK, great seats but they're NLA. People in the UK sell them for over $1,000 a piece when they show up. There are tiny detail differences on the CS seats and the Speedster and Euro 964 RS seats.

Clubsport seats
Hi All,
Just as an update , we finally finished our Clubsport seat, same ribs like the OEM,painted rear,a bit lower seating position...to comfort the time with the helmet... and a bit wider if needed... Will post pictures when the first ones are coming out of the mold. With that seat we can supply any Porsche with seats from 1954 to 2002 with regards Stefan GTSclassics 702 353 7175

Hi, I have 1 original CS seat for sale at the moment.
Black cloth in good condition, red backside could use repaint, but most likely you'd repaint it anyway in black or color of your own car..... ![]() I'd have to check on shipping-cost for USA Regards Kristof Last edited by kristof; 11-05-2010 at 11:32 AM.. |
