it comes with the territory of owning 20+ year old cars. if you haven't replaced it in the last few years - it's likely to need it in the next few.

par for the course.
Don't take it personally. after years of working out the bugs it can be a daily driver. Yes those valves are made of brittle plastic and in an inaccessible location. that is why nobody fixed it yet. Consider a DD, or Daily Driver. I suggest a Saturn. something that is dependable and lets you get to the parts store easily. You don't want to see my list...it would scare you.

drove my 87 as a DD for a year after getting it registered. having work and school with all the breakdowns that have happened in that time forced me to get a DD. bought a NAPA truck for $400, got me through the winter. my DD is now a jeep wrangler- incredibly simple, not much that can break, and parts are a dime a dozen
![]() cant wait till all this rain stops up here so i can drive her more often, nothing quite compares to driving your Porsche

Mine sat for indeterminable periods in New Mexico and I expect things will need to be fixed. The ones I can expect to cause headaches I'm getting prepared for and will pull the motor and replace everything I can short of splitting the block. It's a big list but there's so much you can do with the motor out, the wheels off, and access to the engine compartment. Once you've done it, your confidence level rises significantly. It's kinda like building a kit car.
