Arg! Going into withdrawal!
I took my beloved 924S in to the shop this morning, as I was getting a fairly strong smell of gas in the car. Good news and bad news:
Bad News: it seems that (a normally reliable) stereo installation place accidentally put a small hole in my gas tank. So the tranny had to be dropped, etc to remove the tank. The shop sent the tank off to a specialist to hopefully be fixed, cleaned and pressure tested. Unfortunately, they didn't get the tank back today ![]() ![]() Good news: it looks like the stereo installer is going to pick up the tab, since he personally knows the mechanic... which is a great relief since I don't think this is gonna be that cheap. I'm hoping to get her back in one piece tomorrow. -MAS |

Wow, that's good news that the installer is willing to pick up the tab.
I just had a new deck and front speakers install in mine. No AM, which is fine since that's all I had for three months of commuting. Talk radio gets old fast.

Damn you are lucky I don't know when I will be driving my 951 again. It's been like a month now.
