Power steering issues???
I have a 1983 944 with power steering and replaced the motor from a NON-power steering car. My question is, besides tearing off the whole front of the engine from both motors (cuz i still have old motor), is there anyone that sells a bracket of some sort for a direct/altered bolt on setup? I would like to use my power steering if someone had some information i could use!!!!!

best thing is that you change your old bracket with the one in the new engine.
Its a good idea to raplace all the front seals and eventualy change timing belts or do this job after 1000 miles of brake in period of the belts. i think that other idea ar not great because of the big pistons in this engine .it's not inposible to distruct the original bracket with 6 or 8 bolts(don't remember)....i don't now how to fix it with 2-3 bolts if you don't now the new engine is a great thing to do a head gasket and valve seals job so you are ready to run for many years....

Should have swapped balance shaft carriers before installing motor. Not sure there is a reliable shortcut to correct this error.
