Um, Porsche lettering along the bottom of each side of the car in a satin clear coat so it's only just noticeable like ghost flames, 968 mirrors and door handles

I have 968 door handles and mirrors on my 944. Looks nice. Putting on a rear valance from a 951 looks good too.

Frank - There is a very similar white 944 (down to the white Fuchs) about 8 miles from us and in an effort for my wife to stop confusing the 2 cars (she once asked what I was doing at Target Tuesday at 10am when I was normally at work way across town) so I had to think about making some external changes. The stripes were an obvious choice for many cars in the 80s and the rear valance nicely completed the rear car look by minimizing the spare tire area as seen from under the bumper.

LOL my idea of a nice 944 rear end 951/S2 lower valance __ 968/S2 spoiler & a fiberglass bumper from A.I.R plus 968 mirrors

968 mirrors are great! i have those as well as the 951 valance on my 944... it really looks good!

i did 951 door handles instead of the 968 handles.

unfortunately my mirrors and valance are black so it looks a bit off... i would LOVE to get a set of those rocker stickers made for my car... where did you get them?

the ghost white lettering on the turbo looks really nice too, ernie!

I have pinstripes on this one. Original to the car. I've seen others including my brothers 83 w/ the same type of pinstriping - two thin lines all the way around. I don't particularly care for how it looks across the front of the car. I could live with it on the sides and back.

I actually liked the stripes on the 924 Sebring I glimpsed last night. Here's a link to a pic.

the porsche stickers on the doorsills are cheesy, IMO. (stickers in general are cheesy, even the PORSCHE across the back of the car will come off when i paint mine)

pinstriping like the factory did it is kind of neat though. and the car is not a carrera...and there was no 944 clubsport.

Agree & we all know that there never was any 944SC or Carrera the pics was just something to look at & as mention those are really out of the boxe .Porsche 944s should be left as the are when it come to decals & pinstripe (badge in the front 944 logo in the back) are good enougth if you ask me.

and there was no 944 clubsport.
There were several "Club Sport" 944's built by Porsche - They were Turbos with many deletes for light weight. Even "Club Sport" special made rims, one style of Magnesium, and a style that looked like D-90s with an extra squiggle to identify them.

Some owners like to keep them plain, while others dress them up...There also windshield tint decals that go on the top of the windshield and have "Porsche" lettering in them...Also a rear lighted "Porsche" reflector that goes between the tail lights (These also have a hate/love relationship)

Carerra Stickers on a 944?? Oh, please. The Black mirrors wouldn't detract from the look as you see that kind of stuff on many cars but I'd paint the rear valance white to match, IMHO. If you want to go really boss, dress it up like a track car. there's a thread recently where a guy has a pic of a really race prepped 944. But if you want it to look understated but elegant, The Porsche sidestripes, pinstriping, great wheels and a Momo Race steering wheel is a great start. I'll offer my efforts to date to consider, although side stripes on my particular dark paint scheme is a waste.

i think you missed it... the mirrors on my GREY car are black, as is the valance. doesn't look too bad, and i think the black PORSCHE side lettering would tie it together

no 'Carrera' badge on the 944 to be sure.

One of the easiest improvments to any 944 is to wire sockets and blubs to the rear tail lights that are dummy (empty).
