early dash help

I've got an early 85 944 na and my dash is cracked, rattles, instruments go wacky sometimes, the gauge lights are dim. I was wondering how much it would cost and what I would need to do a later model dash swap if at all possible? And would it be worth it? Any help/ advice is greatly appreciated! !!!!

It can be done but is difficult!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has been done and if you search for previous posts you will find it. What stands out is difficult.

Early and late model dashes are prone to crack. I believe neither can be found as NOS. At best you can repair, recover or put a cap on it. There are plenty of posts covering the pros and cons.
