Dash Cover in 1988 Porsche 944 Turbo

Well, as many of you can relate, the dash of my 944 is cracked.. It really isnt that big of a deal, but it just doesnt look as good as I want it to.. So i was considering getting a dash cover. So I looked them up and I just dont think they look that good. So I started thinking, It would look a lot better if I could have a more customized dash cover.. I would like something with a hint of red in it. Does anyone know where I could get something like that done at? Thank you so much.
Tyler

Classic 9s stuff looks great, I want their dash but can't afford 600 for a cosmetic item when I'm having other issues right now.

I was thinking about the one pelican parts has listed on their store but the picture for it is too small to figure out any details.

When I first bought my car the dash had a plastic cover on it. It was wavy, and started to bow above the gauges. I peeled off the cover and found the dash to be cracked.

I found a used dash on this forum, and had it releathered, and the bottom redyed at a local upholstery shop. I then spent a long day pulling out my old dash and installing the new one.

It was one of the best repairs that I have ever done. It was only a couple of hundred dollars, and took a day of my life. I enjoy the interior of my car almost every day.

Stogie 25,
That's almost exactly what I want in my car, except what you have white, I want red. So do you just have to take it to an upholstery shop to get it done? And you said you got your dash releathered.. Could you have done that in a different color if you wanted? Thanks

Yes and yes. Take in your door panels, seats, dash, and anything else you want two tone dyed. A good upholstery guy should be able to do it cheaply. Have your dash releathered while it is out.

I had the bottom of the dash dyed to match the car, and the top releathered. I also bought a vent cover from 928 Leather Shop. The whole operation cost around $300.00.
