Wiper Motor Jumping Procedure?
Just installed a used wiper motor into my 85.5 to replace a dead one.
Turn key over (not to start, just to activate electrical system) - and the wiper motor does not respond. First, do I assume correctly that the wiper motor should come on with the key turned over? (Car is on Jacks, do not want to start engine). Second - if I need to test the wiper motor by jumping it - how do I do this? Which of the six pins on the wiper motor plug do I want to contact to the battery? 30 day warranty on this motor is about half gone, and need to check it soon! |

hi. I'm not sure from memory, but if you download the wiring diagram it should help figure it out. With the diagram and a multimeter you should be able to work out which is which by checking at the plug, meaning the plug on the car. That'll tell you which pins on the motor to jumper. Brown is ground if that helps to start you off.
Good luck Mike
