If you live in the UK this may be of use
about 6 weeks ago I ordered some tyres from an ad in Top Marques. The Tyre Company Ltd based in Nottingham...big savings advertised so I thought ok get them on the old barclaycard and all should be well. When I ordered them I stated when I needed them for and was told that wasnt a problem!!! So a week after my required delivery date I cancelled them. Had an interesting conversation with the little boy who answered the phone, he tried to charge me 20% for cancellation, after I had left him bleeding and broken in a corner he decided 'perhaps not' and promised to refund my £309. that was 4 weeks ago and guess what??? No dosh. I have telephoned repeatedly, I cannot speak to THE MANAGER (name unknown as they will not give out that information) his is 1. out of the office 2. off sick 3. on holiday or they dont answer the phone. Barclaycard tell me it will be about 2 months to get my dosh back through them...not as easy or safe as I thought!! I am now ready to go down there with a baseball bat, my patience is at an end. Please feel free to post this on any board you like chaps. Sherrie |

Don't you mean "cricket bat?"
![]() Good info. Although most of the users of this BBS are Americans, these jackasses need to be exposed. I hope people spread the word on bad companies and in turn spread the word on the good ones. Spreading the word on outstanding service is the reason we have Pelican Parts. I guess that also leaves the pitfall of having some jerk with a grudge wrongly badmouth somebody on an open forum.....

Yeah but everyone knows the only way to crack a skull is with the right too and thats a baseball bat
![]() Aledgedly ! I aint never done it and dont advocate doing so and then only in self defence, also hope someone videos you in case ! Secondly true ! howver bad news travels a load faster than good. example how many times you spoken to a manager about a nice bright friendly checkout girl, as oppposed to ones who's ignored you, broken your eggs and spit in ya salad ! As for false "bad news" that's also a downside. laters |
