Hi Folks - just in the middle of replacing my long time 'patched-up' hall sensor. Am sure it's probably been posted about before, but what a mission! But as the 944 is so user-friendly, I'm not going to complain!!

I assume you had to remove the valve cover to change it, at least that is what I had to do. Then you find the lead on the new one is too short to mount the sensor in the original position, so you have to cable tie the plug to the mount bracket.

Hi Eric - I actually went the more laborious route ie without removing the cover. I got hold of a decent 'used' part & didn't have a prob with the cable length - (is the944/968 the same?), although the original mount bracket seems very close to the exhaust manifold/block...
