could be worse. Atleast the light and fender appear to be undamaged. Pull the light and bumper scrape out the bad filler, maybe use a dent puller and put some bondo back on her. Looks like a fairly easy job along with paint part too.

That sucks, but like was previously said, it could be worse. I actually enjoy doing body work. There's nothing like the smell of fresh f.g. or bondo!

That is reediculous amount of filler. If you want to toss that panel:

Don't wait too long!
I do believe what he meant to say was: SOON TO BE CUT "UP", as in "soon to become scrap metal".
I don't know who is selling it, nor do I have anything to do with it. But I would conclude from that statement that the clock IS ticking! I would like to see you end up with it, "so it can live again". I would really hate to see it go down for the last time (an I aint talking bout sweet lovin better than a white line). That's a song, just to cover the remote possibility that there is anyone out there who doesn't get it. |

I would take the tailamp out and try to determine how much filler is really there. The tailamp panel is a labor intense panel to change . would also be very hard to take a lkq (used) one and seperate from another car and be able to re-use it. Lots of cutting and welding involved here. And yes I have replaced several over the years and one lkq about 20 years ago and swore to never do it again.

You can use a small hole saw or drill on back side like 1/2" or 3/4 and make 2 or so holes that you can snap a plug into. Use these holes to drive the dent out from back side. Then you you won't need to much filler, easy fix.

Got estimate today..it's going to cost a little bit more than what I have been saving up for the very much looked forward of buying speakers and amps for my Burban. I now have to spend on my Porsche to make it look exactly what It has looked like for 6 years.....it's not a bad price but this had to happen now when I finally saved up a lot of money and was ready to buy my future plans. Hard work put into that money...any ways it's gonna cost me $365. I still need to get $65...dk where I'm gonna get it from..

Well if you didn't know there was bondo there for 6 years why are you opposed to knocking it back and fixing it with bondo, like the body shop will do? White is an easy color to shot and does not show flaws like a dark color would.
You might want to pull the bumper and see if there was more past repairs hidden under that area. How long will the body shop want your car also>? If you did it yourself you could still drive it just put the tail light back in with a few screws if you needed to head out. Leave the bumper off or just use the 2 main bolts and side closures unsecured or un attached if you wanted to drive it. You may learn someting about bodywork/repair its not that bad. Make sure you take your dad's "F*%#ing" rig off the truck when not in use .

Yes It has been crashed there in the past. And it was big cuz the bumper has spacer shims to make it straight and there's a bunch of bondo underneath it. I know this from a while now. Te paint it had was horrible. It was bubbling. The whole rear driver quarter panel was like that and the rear was. It was poorly repaired.
The funny thing is that he got the rack barely 2 days ago before the accident. And trust me, we took that crap off seconds after it happened! |

First off, that's a 924S, not a 924 right?....
That part where the porsche decal is mounted is a boxed structure. Can't get to it from the inside. If you want, I probably have a clip of that corner in storage here in rust-free San Diego, but I have to agree that pulling it out and re-bondo'ing it is probably the best bang for your buck.
