Engine wobble at idle
Had a pretty significant engine shake at idle rpm and so was inspired to replace plugs, caps, rotor, and cap.
When I got the leads off the cap, one of the towers was all blowed up with material mising. Figured it was not producing an efficient delivery of electrons as it's designed and so not firing on all 4 cylinders efficiently. Post work it's much smoother but not great. Probably have an intake leak or manifold issue..looks rough ![]() Last edited by spugeddy; 09-13-2020 at 04:39 PM.. |

An intake leak is pretty easy to check with a smoke test. Will also check the intake manifold and manifold gaskets.

Does it smooth out at a 1300 to 1500 RPM? If so, how old are the motor mounts?

yeah, smooths out great once you start rolling, this shake is just at idle.

sounds like motor mounts to me. Very common.
