WP impeller damaged engine block
Took off the pump, and this is what I found.
![]() The pump looks like it has been recently changed, and there is not even the slightest bit of play in the pulley, so I'm assuming this was done by the previous pump. Has anyone seen this before? Any suggestions? I'm changing the rollers, belts, and front seals... There was oil everywhere. Have the oil pumps ever been known to leak? |

Was it having cooling issues? at the very most i would sand it down for a smoother edge and the very least i wouldnt give a $hit. Take a pressure washer and pressure wash the front of the engine. That should give you a clean slate to work with

I have seen this many times on other makes of cars, I would change the pump and watch for cooling issues. Never had any problems and seen many worse cases.
