944 shenanigans

What do you folks think of this 944? 1986 Porsche 944

I was going to go out and look at it, if the ad is an honest then I think this might be a really good find. I'll have to see those records. If I bought this 944 and sold my current one I'd actually make money

That too, he seems "interesting" but if the car really has that much work done... for 3k? It's hard for me to say no.

I am pretty certain the owner has mental issues. But I am more worried about the car, lol. If everything checks out and it does have a new clutch, transmission etc Should I buy it? I am a little wary of the price, why is it so low?

Lol I had noticed that, was planning on bringing it up. I myself can't think of common reasons for needing that unless it was missing when he bought the car, or something.

He probably removed the oilpan to check for government bugging devices or terrorist bombs, and then couldn't pt it back because of more than 1 screw loose.

I found that ad very entertaining. It looks like it's more about him than about the car.
Probably one of those guys that if you do go meet, will will never never get the opportunity to leave..... or get a chance to say anything.

Hey,make a low-ball offer, see if he flips out, make sure he has not converted it to run on water. Sounds like you should see it in person, hopefully before we see him on the 6 0'clock news lol

Lol at the replies! Well I decided to pass and someone else bought it, lol. Now I'm even crazier looking at maybe my first 951, since a nice looking one is on sale in the area : 1986 PORSCHE 944 TURBO

Not sure if I'd have to replace the timing belt or not.

Talked to the owner of the 944 N/A ... he sure is interesting.

Funny guy and pretty cool but he is literally paranoid... wants a water powered car, says that tires have tracking devices in them.

Should have told him about the built in Omani Beacon in the DME Computer that is easily tracked by terrorists or authoritys, and that's why you are only offering him the $1500.00...

Look like a nice 951 but hard to say with only a couple pics.TB & WP has 20Kmiles on them meaning you'll have at least another 10/15K miles before a new one is needed ( that is if the seller can supply you with receipts of the job being done) water pump will be good for a while yet.Notice the polish PD on her, don't see them very often.
