Valve lash
I am close to finish rebuild my 944 85 1/2 engine. The last thing I need to do is replacing intake valves & valve seals along with the head gasket. I choose to replace the intake valves because they have less than the recommended 1/32 " reserve, ie they are close to dead.
Anybody knows if I am going to have a valve lash problem? I don't see anything on the head or camshaft assy to adjust valve lash. By the way I rebuilt my steering rack using the Transtec seal kit somebody advised my from this board and it was just perfect. It is not difficult to do, just takes time. Bottom line is for 30$ my steering rack is like new... |

Yes we do have hydraulic lifters.
Valve lash settings and valve adjustment are not a concern with a 944. AFJuvat |
